THIRD ESSAY ASSIGNMENT -- FILM REVIEW

Instructions: Write a review essay (3-4 pages, double-spaced) analyzing either The Thing from Another World or Dr. Strangelove. Write the review from the perspective of a film critic commenting on the film at the time of its original release. Try to imagine yourself writing for a specific magazine or newspaper that might have carried a review of the film in 1950 or in 1963. Following the title of your essay, include a brief statement indicating the publication (real or imagined) in which the review might have appeared.

The essay is due at 4:45 pm on Friday, April 7. You may submit your essay electronically or place it in the AC103 in-box at the top of the stairs in Adirondack House.
